Description
Lot #1112 - The Chevelle was hitting its peak of popularity in 1970. The LS6 454 option was getting ordered at dealerships across the country. There was an option that didn't get much attention, the 396/375hp. Racers wanted the big block 454 and a hard top so they could hit the race tracks on any given Sunday. The combination of a convertible and the L78, while not popular in 1970, today has created one of the rarest cars in the muscle car world. This Chevelle is one of six L78 convertibles built in 1970 and the only white convertible L78 built. This car received a frame-off nut and bolt restoration completed in 2008. The car has been in the Midlife Auto Muscle Car Collection since. Comes with copies of original Build Sheets. Winner of the Chevy 'Vette Fest Gold Spinner Concours Award. This L78 comes equipped with the following: 396/375hp, Muncie 4-speed transmission, 12-bolt posi-traction rear end, power convertible top, tilt steering wheel, power brakes, power windows, bucket seats, center console, Cowl Induction, Rally gauges with 6,500rpm tach, SS 396 package with full sport suspension and original matching numbers.
