Description
Lot #1379 - This two owner Viper GTS-R is #56 of 100 ultra-exclusive, special edition GTS-Rs built in 1998. It was sold new at Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix, AZ and has been driven just 1,082 actual miles spending most of its life in a climate controlled environment as part of a sizable collection. The GTS-Rs were built to commemorate Viper's 1997 FIA GT2 World Championship, the first of five between 1997 and 2002. These important and highly sought after cars were all finished in Stone White with Viper Blue LeMans stripes, mimicking the look of the championship winning Oreca team's race car. They were also fitted with lightweight 18" BBS wheels and GT2 aero package that includes an exclusive front air dam and splitter, nose "winglet" aero plates, ground effect side sills and a tall rear spoiler. Under the hood, the 8.0 Liter V10 fitted form the factory with a K&N filter and high flow intake rated by Dodge at 460hp and 560 ft/lbs of torque. The interiors were all finished in blue and black two tone leather and feature Oreca logoed 5-point racing harness and a serialized plaque. Included with the purchase of this Viper are the complete owner's manuals, the original Window Sticker, the original purchase paperwork, the original service contract, both keys on their original Bill Luke Dodge key rings, the welcome letter from Viper plant manager, John Hinckley and the never used BBS center cap removal too. From the Michael Jenkins Collection. Includes car cover, document book, poster, owners manual and Viper magazine.
