Lot #1377 - Fully restored and one of 110 W30 convertibles produced in 1971. This example is fitted with the W30 and the M40 transmission. Of those 110 convertibles, only 78 had the Hurst-shifted automatic. Matching numbers W30 engine package, 455cid engine, transmission and rear end. All W30 engines were assembled, fully balanced and blue printed from the factory, or, as Oldsmobile called them, "Select Fit." The W30 special 455 has special cylinder heads, special high-lift cam and rare aluminum intake with high CFM special Rochester carburetor, high flow exhaust manifolds and functioning Ram Air hood. The W30 also benefitted from special suspension and brake upgrades, as well as the appearance package with its easy to spot red inner fenders, special W30 painted stripes and W30 fender emblems, GM of Canada documentation which is the most solid documentation available along with the original Build Sheet. Beautiful, correct restoration in desirable colors highlight this luxury powerhouse. This is an extremely rare automobile with its original matching numbers W30 455 engine.
