Description
Lot #761 - This 1973 Camaro Z/28 is a matching numbers, 4-speed with 59,000 actual miles, documented car. It has had a meticulous rotisserie restoration performed recently. The engine, transmission, rear axle, complete drive train has been rebuilt using as many original components as possible. The engine retains its original steel crank, "pink" connecting rods and 2.02 heads with screw-in studs and guide plates. Engine was bored and balanced for smooth performance. The original M21 4-speed transmission featuring its original shifter and shifter knob was in good shape but bushings bearings and synchronizers were all replaced as a precautionary measure. The rear end retains all of its original components, gears, posi differential, axles, etc., but all has been rebuilt to factory standards. The body has been completely restored inside and out, showing all of the original spot welds and painted the original color, Code 64 silver metallic with black stripes. Factory options have been retained and include bucket seats, rear window defrost, sport mirrors, console, front and rear spoilers, sport stripes, special performance suspension, posi-traction differential, power brakes, M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission, power steering, special instrumentation and Z/28 performance package. This car has approximately 300 miles on it since the complete restoration. Paint and body work is laser straight and professionally done. From the Michael Jenkins Collection.
