Description
Lot #68 - 1978 Volvo Custom 262C Bertone coupe. Powered by a custom built LS3 with enough power to run with the big boys. It has autocrossed, road raced and been a daily driver. The front suspension has been replaced with tubular control arms, fabricated spindles and huge Wilwood GN II brakes. The rear is a ladder bar with Ford 9" axle. The transmission is a manual valve body 4L80 with a billet converter. The interior has been done in black leather with black alcantera suede accents. The audio system is comprised of the best components from Kenwood, Morel, MB Quart, Zapco and RE. It has custom fixtures for every speaker. The body is hand-built steel. It manages to cover the 18x13 rear and 18x8 front Kinesis wheels. The car still weighs less that it did from the factory with a much improved F/R ratio. It was featured at SEMA in 2011 and was invited to compete at the Optima Ultimate Street Car competition that same year. It has driven to car shows and races all over the West Coast. The body was recently refinished in Gotta Have It Green with anthracite racing stripes.
