Description
Lot #1275.1 - This Aceca was delivered to Los Angeles in 1955 as a left hand drive export model and stayed in Southern California until 2013 when it was brought to Arizona to undergo a full nut and bolt restoration. Converted to a V8 early in its life, it has been restored as a tribute to its younger sister, the Mk1 AC Cobra. Powered by a period-correct Ford 260cid V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission. The factory 4-wheel independent suspension was restored, along with the transverse leaf springs and original knock-off wheels. The pristine aluminum body is finished in Sterling Gray Metallic with black interior. During the 9-year production run only 151 of these hand built cars were produced. Hundreds of restoration photos and documents included, as well as correspondence and invoices from the AC factory in Thames Ditton, England.
