Description
Lot #1127 - This show-quality truck captures the best of American heritage and was built by one of the all-time great Hot Rod icons, Boyd Coddington. You can easily recognize Boyd's attention to detail and refined classic touch throughout the truck. Some of these features include a custom Boyd-designed chrome grille, custom headlights and his signature gloss black paint with red pin striping. When it was completed Boyd even traveled to Texas and personally delivered the one-of-a-kind truck, even reattaching the mirrors himself. The chassis has undergone a major update since its original build, but the cab was left untouched and as Boyd saw it best. One of Boyd's long time suppliers, Gabe Lopez, supplied the custom red leather interior. It has a 1970 stock 429cid engine with an RV cam that furnishes power through an automatic C6 Ford transmission to a Ford 9" rear end. It also has a Mustang II cross member and front suspension with 11" disc brakes up front. Air Lift airbags were connected with an on-board compressor. 3" dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers were supplied.
