Description
Lot #693 - This well documented Mustang has been restored with a "Day two" theme while not straying too far from its muscle car heritage. Found untouched in an Oregon barn in 2006, will be sold with the owner's manual, Build Sheet, Marti Report and the original Eminger invoice. This pony left the factory in Dearborn, MI bound for San Jose, CA in December 1968 as an H Code 351 Windsor with 2 barrel carburetor, FMX transmission and a 2.75 geared 9" rear differential. The original color was New Lime Green with Dark Ivy Gold interior. Options included were front disc brakes, power steering, AM radio, console, tinted windows and a black vinyl top. Repainted in 2006 Porsche Forest Green Metallic, this fierce-looking street warrior features American Racing wheels and Goodyear G-Force rubber. The original black vinyl top is in wonderful condition, as is the original Dark Ivy Gold interior, now updated with air conditioning, new carpeting, dash pad, steering wheel, tilt steering column and black accents. A Rockford-Fosgate multi-speaker sound system with touchscreen control and mp3 provide the soundtrack for your cruise nights, if you get tired of listening to the motor that is. The drivetrain description reads like a speed shop inventory. The original 351 now rebuilt, dyno tested at over 420hp with 10.5:1 Keith Black pistons, AFR aluminum heads, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy roller cam, Edelbrock RPM air gap manifold, MSD ignition, March serpentine pulley system and MSD fuel injection. Custom ceramic coated Hedman headers route exhaust to dual Flowmaster mufflers. A race-prepped C6 transmission with a Hughes 3,000rpm stall sends power to the originally equipped Ford 9" with 4.11 gears and an Auburn limited-slip. Global West and Competition Engineering suspension make this animal tame enough to cruise.
