Lot #1294 - 396/425hp Corvette coupe, the original IF coded engine, 208 cylinder heads, serialized M20 transmission, 352 starter, 3124 carburetor, 093 distributor and 969 alternator are just a few of the pieces it rolled off the assembly line with. Nassau Blue with blue leather interior, it was built by GM with these other great options, leather seats, side dual exhaust, power brakes, power windows, teak steering wheel, telescopic column, Kelsey Hayes knock-offs, AM/FM radio, tinted glass and the C&C Group which included back up lamps, all part of the original build package for this 396 in 1965. It has the original Bill of Sale from the Rodenfields Chevrolet, Co., Columbus, OH. Original GM issued Window Sticker which has been validated by the GM/NCRS document validation service as authentic and the GM/NCRS Shipping Data Report confirms it was billed by GM to Rodenfields Chevrolet, it even has its original Protect-O-Plate, original owner's patch and original owner's pin all still a part of this car and there is documentable owner history from GM to present. In the first year of big block production the 396/425hp 1965 Chevrolet Corvette was at its rarest in coupe form, when linked to the previously mentioned original components and documentation make this beautiful example a rare find. Recipient of a NCRS Regional 97.3 Top Flight award in 2007, the first and only time it was ever judged.
