Lot #320 - Correct style chrome trim around each window rubber seal, new running boards with chrome trim and new chrome bumpers with over riders. All new rubber seals, scrapers, felt, new turn signal lenses with chrome bezels and headlight glass with chrome. New factory VW window glass installed in the doors, new chrome body molding, new wiper blades, antenna and driver's side mirror. The paint is original Java Green this Bug was delivered in, applied to the entire body with a factory VW Pearl White applied to create a very appealing two toned affect, which was only offered on very early coach built VWs. TMI seat upholstery, pads and panels. TMI under hood and interior carpet kits, including the area behind rear seat. Sound deadening panels throughout and a TMI headliner installed. New dash chrome, knobs, rubber boots and glove box insert. Reproduction sun visors, visor clips and rear view mirror finish out a nicely detailed interior. Rebuilt VW DP 1,600cc motor. New sheet metal in correct satin black finish, a rebuilt carburetor, newly replaced fuel lines, seals, gaskets and filter. New quality engine compartment seal and fire wall insulation complete the highly detailed engine bay. Upgraded to 12-volt to provide a more reliable system than the original 6-volt system. Vintage radio with new bezel and knobs sits well in the detailed dash. New ignition switch, new battery, cables and rewired engine compartment. New tires with white wall inserts installed with period-correct reproduction beauty rings, new chrome hubcaps and wheels painted to match body colors. Main brake line replaced with a quality replacement line. Rebuilt master cylinder installed with new brake shoes. Accessories include a period-correct wood slat roof rack (new reproduction), vintage amber fog light up front and a reproduction D-Deutschland plaque on rear bumper. Topping off the rear end is a "cheese grater" accessory muffler tip.
