Description
Lot #516 - This 1955 GMC armored payroll service car is a great piece of Americana as well as a historically significant and rare truck. It has been correctly restored with new paint and lettering. This truck retains all of its original interior furnishings, including two desks with matching chairs and a bank vault. The outside has been recently restored with new paint throughout and the truck has been expertly lettered in a period-correct Brinks livery. The body is all original and retains its bulletproof glass and gun mounting holes to protect its drivers and the money from would-be robbers. It is powered by its correct and venerable GMC six-cylinder, 228cid, overhead valve engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. It has been mechanically serviced and runs and drives well.
