Description
Lot #5076 - The new Sixth Series, Custom Eight Packards were built on the 140 1/2" wheelbase chassis and were powered by the 384cid 8 cylinder engine. This desirable 1929 Custom Eight Phaeton has a firewall tag indicating that it was sold new by Earle C. Anthony, Inc., the famed Packard dealership in Los Angeles. It features many period-correct accessories and options, including chrome disc wheels, spotlights, front-mounted driving lights, dual side-mounted spare tires with matching mirrors, a rear dual-cowl and windshield assembly, a luggage rack with matching trunk and the famous Goddess of Speed mascot. It is a recipient of a ground-up restoration and is a Classic Car Club of America Senior Award winner. Today the car is still gorgeous and looks like a car that was just restored and ready for the show field.
