Lot #5071 - One of just 62 left hand drive Bentley S2 Continental Dropheads with coachwork by Mulliner Park Ward. This particular left hand drive convertible was delivered new to Norman Sackheim of Chicago, IL on May 14, 1962. Mr. Sackheim personally picked it up in London and had it shipped back to New York on the American Flyer leaving London on May 17, 1962. Famous Rolls-Royce/Bentley dealer J.S. Inskip bought the car from Mr. Sackheim on February 8, 1965 and sold it to Edward Shelton Stewart on September 25 of the same year. From 2001 to 2012 it was in the collection of Charles Stegmeyer of Belleville, IL. Five decades later, BC118LCZ has been freshly updated with new dark blue paint, new black Everflex top and new black leather interior with matching black carpets. All interior wood and trim has been refinished as necessary along with all brightwork. The engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and steering have been professionally serviced and it wears new tires. All aluminum 6.2 Liter V8, aluminum bodywork, Connolly leather and Wilton carpet.
