Lot #779 - Pro-Touring 1969 Pontiac GTO. Looks like a Judge but was not originally. Complete ground-up, body-off restoration. Professionally built 467cid engine. It is extremely strong. It has a Centerforce clutch hooked to a Keisler "Perfect Fit" Tremec TKO 600 transmission. The rear end is a Strange S60 with Eaton Tru-Trac, 3.73 gears and 35 spline axles. It is held in with Edelbrock (lower) and QA-1 (upper) tubular control arms. The brakes are Wilwood 12.88" discs on all four corners with billet Superlite 6-piston front and billet Superlite 4-piston calipers on the rear. All of the brake/fuel lines are stainless tube. The front suspension consists of Global West's Negative Roll upper and lower A-arms, QA1 coilover shocks and 2" drop 79-81 Firebird/Camaro spindles. The frame rails have been boxed for added stiffness. The wheels are American Racing Torq-Thrust II with BFG KDW-2 tires. In the interior the dash is restored with silver faced gauges and brushed aluminum insert. All of the plastic parts (vents and bezels) are new. Pedals are aluminum. The steering wheel is a LeCarra Pontiac Formula wheel. The front seats are Corbeau reclining buckets covered in leather to mimick the original '69 GTO pattern. It has an Alpine CD player with a JL Audio HD 900-5 amp hooked to MB Quart 5 1/4 and 6x9 speakers and a 12w3v3 sub. The entire car was disassembled, stripped to bare metal and any rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. The body was smoothed and painted using Sikkens Polysurfacer, Colorbuild, Autobase Plus base coat and Autoclear III clear coat.
