Lot #796 - This 1964 Galaxie 500 XL Resto-Mod is a beautiful car. This car was always garaged and has remained rust free. The exterior moldings are in great condition and the bumpers have been rechromed. The interior was in very good condition and has been lovingly restored. The goal was to keep the interior and exterior completely stock. The car underwent a complete frame-off rotisserie restoration. The frame was bead blasted and powder coated. The polished stainless steel on the car is original and in great condition. The chrome trim around the windshield and other windows are original. Door handles are original as well as the interior side and door panels. All gauges, as well as the clock and radio, are original. The console and front seat backs are original. The carpeting, padded dash and seat covers have been replaced. The car was repainted the original white and the interior is Light Blue Crush. The engine and suspension were modified by installing a ROUSH RFE 451cid V8 mated with a Tremec 5-speed transmission with bell housing, clutch and billet aluminum accessory drive including alternator, power steering pump and air conditioning Compressor. The Galaxie rolls on Goodyear Eagle Tires with Boyd Coddington wheels. It features Wurth-it Designs rack & pinion steering, Currie 9" performance rear differential and Tru-Trac locker with polished alloy third member housing. It has a Vintage Air system, a Summit Racing 12 circuit complete vehicle wire harness, Inland Empire aluminum driveshaft, Rock Valley polished stainless steel fuel tank, VIP custom stainless steel exhaust, Air Ride Technologies Shockwave system, Be Cool aluminum radiator cross flow with dual electric fans, SSBC 4-wheel disc brakes and billet aluminum Master Cylinder, and an MSD ignition system.
