Description
Lot #375 - This Land Cruiser FJ-40 is an immaculate restoration of a dry, rust-free truck that has spent its entire known life in Southern Oregon. It was taken down to the frame and refinished in its desirable, factory-correct Rustic Green and received all new interior upholstery, new carpets, refinished trim, restored removable hardtop with new headlining and more. It also received a host of tasteful upgrades that make it more usable in modern life. Chief among these upgrades is found under the hood. In 1996, the original 6-cycliner, 136hp engine needed replacement, so the owner at the time took the opportunity to gain more power by installing a professionally rebuilt 327cid V8 from a 1967 Corvette. The engine would have been factory rated at 300hp and it is further upgraded with a mild cam, Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor. The engine performs superbly and has all new seals and fresh fluids. Other notable features included Rancho shocks and steering stabilizer, five new Ultra Type light alloy wheels wearing new 31" Toyo Open Country M/T tires, a premium quality Warn winch, safari-style roof rack, front off-road lamps and even an auxiliary 22 gallon Conferr fuel tank, which takes total fuel capacity to 38 gallons. Included with purchase are complete records for the engine, maintenance invoices, restoration receipts and photos, a pilot's style owner's log, black removable soft sided doors and a black bikini top.
