Lot #102 - All models were equipped with an inline 6 cylinder engine 2,788cc 2.8 Liter, with mulit-port fuel injection. The bonnet, trunk lid, door skins and tonneau cover were made of aluminum to reduce weight. The styling of the front, with its characteristic upright Bosch "fishbowl" headlights and simple chrome grille dominated by the large three-pointed star in the nose panel, paid homage to the then already legendary 300SL roadster. Over the past year the car has undergone a cosmetic restoration which included a new Mercedes black softtop, complete interior including carpet, seats, door trim, rubbers, wood trim and paint. It comes complete with the factory white Pagoda hardtop that is in excellent condition.
