Description
Lot #1232.1 - One of the few remaining original 1968 Hemi Dodge Darts, factory built by Dodge and the Chrysler Corporation to be campaigned in the super stock manufacturer wars of the late 60's, as documented by Galen Govier this is number 5 of 56 in the Chrysler Registry. One of approximately 60 Darts produced by Chrysler and the Hurst Corporations, it has been deemed "the ultimate muscle car" and " the only car worth selling your house for" by many. This is a real true, unmolested and un-restored survivor being maintained with its documented history. Formerly owned by Lou Mancini of Mancini Racing and the Chrysler Corporation, this orignal was fitted with a 426 hemi engine and automatic transmission installed by the Hurst Corporation. It is capable of being street driven as evident by the Pennsylvania inspection sticker. It has never been raced or altered but a rare and perhaps, the only true survivor of the period.
