Lot #660 - Presenting an absolutely stunning custom 1958 Impala. This two owner Impala has been tastefully customized to reflect modern trends. Featured in the January 2010 edition of Street Rodder magazine, the September/November edition of Street Thunder magazine and it was also featured in the 2011 edition of the Chop Top Custom calender and used in promoting the 2010 Detroit Autorama. The original matching numbers 348cid engine has been rebuilt using the best components. Other modern features include Turbo 400 transmission, power steering, CPP power disc brakes and Classic Auto Air air conditioning system. The suspension has been upgraded by using Air Ride Technologies digital air ride system. The interior was done using an updated 50s fabric while still retaining the original trim work. Full stereo with Modern Electronics mp3 hidden in the original radio. Custom built 17" chrome reverse wheels very reminiscent of the era, Vogue radial tires, beautiful two tone paint and interior scheme. The purpose of this build was to create a car with classic cool old school styling and enough tasteful modern day upgrades to give the owner a wonderful and dependable driving experience.
