Description
Lot #673 - This 1972 Z15 SS Chevelle has been fully restored by Sam Palazzola in Texas with extreme performance in mind. As featured in Chevelle magazine, the original LS3 402cid engine has been replaced with a custom built aluminum Brodix head 540cid engine for a dyno proven 756hp, and a Nitrous Oxide Systems 350hp Big Shot installed for a total of 1,100 horsepower. Thoughtfully built with all the right performance parts, the smoothed, polished and highly detailed engine compartment highlights a 1,050cfm DaVinci Dominator, solid lifter Crane cam, electric water pump and fan, vacuum pump, full MSD ignition, Hooker headers and a custom ceramic coated 4" Borla exhaust. The race built Turbo 400 transmission is equipped with a 4,000 stall converter and feeds a custom Ford 9" and slick Hoosiers. The enhanced suspension received generous attention as well and boasts top parts by Hotchkis, Energy, Mosier and others. This car has been built to look as good as it performs and is just as happy trolling the streets for victims as it is on the strip. The exterior paint is beautifully done in GM Code 81 red with black stripes, and the hood and bumper replaced with fiberglass units for weight savings. The fully restored black interior remains as tasteful as factory with all new bucket seats, carpet, original dash and topped off with an NHRA legal 6-point roll cage for safety. Auto Meter gauges monitor the vitals and a NOS nitrous timer is neatly tucked away in the glove box. 4-wheel disc brakes and Weld wheels round out the total package. Exceptional paperwork and records even include the original Build Sheet.
