Description
Lot #672 - Professionally built by Lonnie Hunt as his personal car, he started with a beautiful 1972 El Camino. The car was dismantled, put on a rotisserie and sandblasted. The chassis was outfitted with a back half frame rail kit and the body was trimmed for a set of massive wheel tubs. A Ford 9" was stuffed with a posi-traction unit and 4.11 gears before being hung on a ladder bar set-up. Weld wheels are the rolling stock of choice. The drivetrain starts with a 468cid big block featuring an 871 blower. The power runs through a reversed valve body TH400 and then through a 9" out back. Everything on the engine is chrome, billet or painted. The trick gray interior features bucket seats with a console and a custom built dash with a full assortment of Auto Meter gauges. A Flaming River tilt column is topped with a Billet Specialties steering wheel. Detailing throughout the car is evident in the beautiful paintwork and the details like the chromed hood hinges, springs and latch hardware. The car is a consistent show winner and it's a driven car to boot. This car has also been featured in Goodguys magazine. This car is licensed and street legal.
