Description
Lot #720.1 - Do not call this 1947 Ford convertible a Rat Rod. This is one of the coolest vintage style Hot Rods in existence today. The body is an original 1947 Henry Ford steel convertible with exceptional real patina. The body features all new stainless side moldings, new emblems, new grille and new bumpers. A new Hartz cloth top and all new tinted windows can shield the interior from the elements if so desired. The frame features a Nova style front stub with independent front suspension, power steering and disc brakes. In the back a 9" Ford rear end is held in check by a 4-bar trailing arm setup. The slammed stance can be raised with its air ride suspension to allow the car to drive comfortably down the road. A nicely detailed Chevy 350 motor and a Turbo 350 transmission motivate the Hot Rod. The custom interior features brown weather safe vinyl covered seats and door panels. The dash has all new original style chrome with modern gauges. An Ididit tilt column is highlighted by a custom flat black "Forty Fold" style wheel. An in-dash heat and air conditioning unit allows the driver to cruise in comfort. This car is basically a modern Street-Rod with an extremely cool vintage style. Virtually every functioning part has been rebuilt or replaced. This Hot Rod is extremely reliable and easily cruises comfortably at high speeds. The vintage look sets this car apart from other "shiny" rods and gets tons of attention wherever it goes.
