Description
Lot #841 - This stunning 442 is one of the well executed street machines that came out of the Mothers Wax stable. It has graced the pages of Hot Rod magazine, Car Craft, Popular Hot Rodding and Engine Masters. It was meticulously assembled from the ground up and styled after the classic 60s drag race look. The bigs and littles are Weld wheel P-9s with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, Muncie M20 4-speed with a 10" differential and 3.55 posi-traction. The engine was built to 10.5:1 compression along with a high volume oil pump and seven quart Moroso pan. The Oldsmobile W30 package was added to give it Ram Air and a trunk mounted battery. Also, the rare red plastic inner fenders are present. Inside the cabin, a VDO drag gauge panel was installed and a racing line lock for quick starts. Finally, each piece was blocked and painted by Tom Rodriguez at Cypress Auto Body in California, and beautifully reassembled. This is truly a one-off 442. Don't forget to check out the original California Black Plate.
