Description
Lot #329 - Back in 1963, Mercury was in the thick of NASCAR racing, and needed an aerodynamic body style to compete with the Fords, Chevys, Dodges, and Plymouths of that era. Thus the 1963 ? Mercury Marauder fastback was born. Most of these cars found their way to the speedway, but this Texas car escaped, and is in it's original pristine condition. The car has always been stored indoors, and it shows. This Mercury has only 65,000 original miles on it's 390 engine and Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The brakes have been converted to front disc with a dual master cylinder in the interest of safety. It starts, runs, and drives as good as the day it rolled off the assembly line. The paint is all original 2 tone, and is in great condition showing only minimal wear and tear. Absolutely no rust. The interior is factory vinyl, and is in absolutely immaculate condition, including the dash, headliner and carpeting. All instrumentation is intact and fully functional. This car is truly a piece of American history and has been well preserved over the years. They don't make them like this anymore.
