Lot #511 - 429/370hp V8, 4-speed manual transmission, independent coil spring front suspension and HD leaf spring rear suspension. One of only 78 Ranchero GTs built with 4-speed transmission and 429 Cobra Jet big block engine. Desirable black and black color combination with laser stripe and factory shaker hood scoop. The shaker hood scoop and Ram Air is even rarer and it is documented to be factory original by the J Code as the fifth digit of the VIN. The original black turin knit vinyl bucket seats are still in the car and in great shape. This remarkably clean original example also retains its original motor and drivetrain. A full set of custom gauges are fitted neatly under the dash and a vintage 8,000 rpm Sun tachometer is mounted on the steering wheel. The paint is still totally original except for a small area on the top of the front left fender. This is a very rare survivor example and is certainly one of the finest examples of its kind.
