Description
Lot #11 - One of the nicest Valiants on the planet. Over $25,000 spent to restore this California and Arizona owned classic. This classic was restored after it was used as driver car of the restorer in California after getting it from his grandfather. In 1980, the restoration began by removing the seats and having them covered with custom fitted sheepskins and factory carpeting. He hired a Rolls-Royce wood fabricator to make solid mahogany interior trim panels and applied over 12 coats of lacquer. All of the interior and exterior moldings were removed and replaced with OEM parts. The exterior and engine bay was stripped to metal and repainted in the original light blue color. The undercarriage was undercoated and the engine totally rebuilt. Installed is a 14-speaker 400-watt stereo cassette/CD player. Power door locks were added, as well as the white wall tires on larger wheels. The owner used the car sparingly after the restoration and was stored for the last 10 years in his Arizona garage. We purchased the car from the family estate and serviced the car by rebuilding the brakes, fuel system and power steering. Complete documentation comes with this car including all of the service records, restoration receipts and DMV receipts going back to the early 70's. Tons of extra parts come with the car.
