Lot #811 - The builder of this striking HEMI 'Cuda re-creation had a goal in mind as he began this top quality project and that was to build a car that would appear show quality but could be driven and enjoyed. Begining with a rust-free real 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, he dismantled the car to a bare shell and spent many hours and huge dollars to secure the parts to build a very authentic replica HEMI 'Cuda. A total restoration of the 'Cuda body including a fully detailed bottom side and engine compartment made way for a Larry Shepard 472 Chrysler HEMI mated to a correct 727 HiPo Torqueflite automatic transmission. Many unique, rare and expensive HEMI specific parts were procured to build the car to the level of detail you see here today. The car was finished approximately four years ago but appears to have been just completed as a very comprehensive detail and service have just been finished to make the car ready for the next owner.
