Lot #690.1 - This is a great example classic bodied Street Rod. The original Chevy body is all-steel with the exception of the front fenders. The orange and cream laser straight accent the factory body lines. Shaved door handles and smooth running boards give the rod a more sleek look without ruining the original body shape. A polished stainless steel "Gangsta Style" grille, chrome American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and new low profile tires complete the classic Street Rod look. The interior features leather seats with custom door panels, custom dash with Autometer gauges and a tilt steering column with Banjo style steering wheel. The Street Rod gets an exceptionally smooth ride from its original frame that has been upgraded with a Mustang II style front suspension and aftermarket rear leaf springs with 10-bolt GM rear end. 4-wheel disc brakes were added to safely stop the car. A highly detailed rebuilt 305cid Chevrolet engine backed by a 700R overdrive transmission motivate the '40 smoothly down the highway. A Vintage Air heat and air conditioning unit were added to make cruising even more pleasurable. This is a very well built Street Rod that will cruise comfortable and reliability.
