Description
Lot #322 - Presenting a very rare 1929 Oakland All American Six business coupe that has a lot of originality and beautiful body lines. It was purchased new by Lyle Castle who was a mechanic at George Maltby Motorcar Company in Jamestown, New York. Documentation including hand written letters, manuals and factory warranty letters are included with the car dating back to March 25, 1929. The car spent its entire life in Jamestown, New York until 2011. The car was purchased in 2011 from Mr. Mastrisimone who owned the car for 45 years. He restored it in 1966 and then again in 2005. It placed in a few car shows including a third place at the AACA National Fall Meet held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This car still has a lot of originality and is a very classy looking car. The color combination of cream with black is beautiful. Some of the cars unique features include 19" wood spoke wheels, golf bag door on the passenger side, windshield that rolls up to allow air flow, adjustable seat, interior dome light and dash light. The big flathead six cylinder is coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission. This is an amazing piece of American history.
