Description
Lot #633 - "NOVAIR" is a creation by Steve Stanford, renowned Rod & Custom automotive artist. This 1963 Nova looks like a classic 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible with its airbrushed '56 Chevrolet trim and beautiful red and white paint. Powering this beauty is a highly detailed 327cid Corvette engine by Ed Taylor Racing Engines that has been bored .060 and has a chrome '63 fuel injection unit. The transmission is a Muncie 4-speed with a narrowed 12-bolt posi-traction rear end, upgraded front chrome suspension with 11" disc brakes and 2" drop spindles. The interior has a smooth dash to give it that contemporary look. Two noteworthy vintage touches, the knee knocker tach and the 6-way custom tilt steering column. It has a modified Impala steering wheel and fully polished American Torq Thrust wheels. The interior is from PUI Modern Performance and is white vinyl with red carpet. This unique automobile envisioned and created by Steve Stanford has graced the magazine covers of Chevy High Performance and Chevy Enthusiast, as well as articles in Super Chevy, Popular Hot Rodding, Styling & Performance and Nova Classic and featured on the TV program Mother's Classic Car Show Series.
