Lot #686.1 - This is a very rare Euro-spec 1985 BMW 745i Turbo Executive Edition with 4-speed auto and African Water Buffalo hide interior, which is similar to suede. The 3.5 liter straight-6 turbo was considered by BMW to be similar in power to a naturally aspirated 4.5 liter engine, hence the 745i designation. This 2-owner car was BMWs top-of-the-line sedan in the mid 1980's. The Executive Edition was intended to be chauffer driven and includes electric rear seats and radio controls in the rear armrest. The current owner has spent approximately $30,000 restoring the car in the last few years, including a factory-quality repaint in the original color, restored BMW BBS wheels, new tires, sheepskin seat covers front and rear, BBS front air dam, new chrome factory European bumpers, rebuilt suspension, an upgraded and rebuilt turbo, and other mechanical work.
