Description
Lot #363.1 - The nosed/shaved hood, door and trunk handles, along with the way cool Carson-type removable top, certainly give off the custom vibe. The miles-deep black paint and a luxurious black interior continue the theme. The slight rake with the down low front end certainly set it off. Popping open the remote lever actuated hood reveals a modern horsepower package that includes a Corvette LT1 fuel injected engine that is polished to a glimmer with billet pulleys and a serpentine belt system driving the highly buffed alternator and air conditioning compressor. The power is moved through a fully rebuilt 700R automatic transmission. All that power does get transmitted to the road well with a stout 9" rear hung on parallel leaf springs and a fully detailed Mustang II set up with rack & pinion steering. After specifying a custom frame that was fabricated to fit this body and drivetrain, the rest of the build took over two years, using some of the finest builders in the San Diego area.
