Lot #35.1 - This VW has undergone a no-expense-spared, complete pan-off, nut and bolt restoration. This car was completely stripped down to the metal and refinished in DuPont Signal Green. All of the trim pieces on the car including interior and exterior have been powdercoated gloss black. The interior has been completely redone with new German loop carpet, new Hawaiian burlap style seats and door panels, and a new German perforated headliner. A freshly rebuilt 1,641 motor has been installed with all new parts including 12V generator. New coil, new carburetor, Bosch 009 distributor and custom air filtration intake system. Every rubber seal on the vehicle has been replaced, as well as every nut and bolt. All new chrome trim and stainless steel trim, including interior dash trim. New European headlights, blinkers and taillights. Vintage BRM wheels with brand new tires. This '66 VW has won several first place trophies including the West Coast Bug In, West Coast Jamboree and the VW Classic Show in Bakersfield.
