Lot #624 - For sale by the daughter-in-law of the original owner. This 1957 Mercury Montclair was custom built for the original owner, a Ford manager at the Ford Pico Rivera Plant. It is mostly all original including the heater, AM radio, headliner, carpet, trunk upholstery, chrome, license plates and is in running condition. The original paint was touched up at the Pico Rivera Ford plant and is documented. It is a rust-free California Black Plate car. The vehicle has been in Fullerton California since it came off the assembly line in Pico Rivera in in 1957. It comes with the original owner's manual and the repair guide. It is a true piece of mid-late 50s automotive art. It is a beautiful car. The car is two-toned beauty and has a lot of chrome and stainless, which makes it really stand out. The Mercury Montclair was a full-size automobile produced by the Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company from 1955 to 1957. Its appearance followed the concept show car in 1954 called the Mercury XM-800. The vehicle name was introduced in 1955 and applied to Mercury's premium automobile line. Montclairs featured Mercury's best appointments, extra chrome trim and different two-tone paint combinations to set them apart from other Mercury products. Engine size is 312cid with 8 cylinders. Exterior color is tan and white with interior color of tan. Transmission is push button automatic. Shows extremely well.
