Description
Lot #665.1 - Presenting a custom 1937 Buick Special 4 door Slant. This Buick has gone through a very extensive restoration. The frame was stripped and painted with epoxy. The sheet metal is all original and extremely straight. The fender skirts were handmade and fastened with bolts and pins. The exterior has been painted in a beautiful two tone white. The running boards were rubberized to prevent slipping and painted over. Everything on the exterior is new including such items as the glass, bumpers, moldings, stainless, etc. The front grille is bold. It has halogen headlights with built in turn signals. The exterior is complimented with a brand new interior with many upgrades. Some interior upgrades include a remolded banjo steering wheel, custom dash and gauges, custom switches and complete sound system. The engine is a completely rebuilt 1952 Buick 263cid straight 8 with solid lifters. It's equipped with two 2 barrel Holley carburetors. The engine compartment is very detailed. The engine runs and sounds excellent through the aluminum exhaust with turbo mufflers. The engine is coupled with a completely rebuilt 1937 transmission with a Rambler overdrive that was installed in front of the differential. There's a custom switch that allows the overdrive to be turned on. The electric fan with switch on dash keeps the engine cool. The two 12-volt batteries provide plenty of power for all the upgrades. From the Marc Schiliro Collection.
