Description
Lot #1551.1 - This roadster pickup was built as a timeless traditional Hot Rod, it was built around a custom stretched and stepped Roaster Shop deuce chassis. This chassis was custom built to have a low stance while using a period correct wheel and tire package. The satin paint with gloss scallops is a combination of original vintage Ford colors to give it a period-correct look. The cab is an all-steel Brookville 1932 Ford reproduction with a 1930 model A bed modified to fit. The hood was custom built to mate up to the original Henry Ford and very rare 1932 commercial grille shell. Sitting in the Model A bed is a 1930's era gas tank, hand lettered with Gilmore Gasoline's vintage logo. The car is full of professional custom fabricated parts, including the lakes style headers with removable cap to bypass the functional "belly burner" stainless exhaust system. A set of very rare and original Guide headlights were mounted on custom pedestals. It is powered by a 350cid Chevy small block that is highly detailed and mated to a Turbo 350 transmission. The interior was designed to be very minimalistic and rustic, featuring distressed leather covered aluminum bomber seats. Rubber grooved floor insert and an exposed painted transmission tunnel around the Hot Rod swan shifter. The Stewart Warner gauges are mounted in a custom built gauge bezel and sit behind a functional cowl vent. Included with the vehicle is a removable Sid Chavers Bop Top.
