Description
Lot #704.2 - THIS DODGE SWEPTSIDE IS ONE OF ONLY 975 PRODUCED IN 1958. Dubbed by Dodge the "Handsomest Truck on the Road," the D100 Sweptside was produced from 1957 - 59, hand built by the Special Equipment Group in a separate part of the truck plant in answer to the Chevrolet's luxurious Cameo and Ford's Ranchero. Unlike those competitors, however, the Sweptside is a real half-ton truck and with an available 315cid V8 engine, which this truck has, plus optional push-button LoadFlite automatic transmission, power steering, transmission oil cooler, and two-tone upholstery. Other notable standard features include a heater, door panel armrests, windshield wipers, two-tone paint, wood bed floor, and acres of gleaming chrome trim. This truck is the recipient of a frame-off restoration by its most recent owner who had owned it for the past 33 years. Very correct and exemplary quality from top to bottom. 75,000 original miles.
