Very few TW-250 Coupes survive today worldwide, but with the scarcity of this example's suicide doors that were found only on a small percentage of coupes, it's stunning original condition, its very low 44,368 original kilometers and it's important provenance, this vintage auto represents one very scarce vehicle that draws a crowd wherever it goes. Comes with the original German ownership book that has remained with the car for the past 52 years and shows the first and only owner who purchased the car new in 1959. Twenty-six years later, the car went back to the dealer where he purchased the car and displayed it on the showroom floor for the next twenty-five years. The car was finally brought to the US in 2010. The original 1959 sales receipt and documents that validate this car's short and important pedigree accompany this sale. This pocket-sized, yet beautifully proportioned vehicle is offered with its original undamaged gray vinyl seats, cloth door panels, delicate rose colored plastic dash, wool headliner and flying "G" logo stamped rubber floor mats. The white and red exterior features its original paint white top, but the bottom red portion was recently resprayed due to fading. Apart from that one upgrade, the entire car, including the drivetrain, remains original as it left the showroom in 1959.
