Description
Lot #70.2 - Truly the biggest and baddest pickup truck on the road! Custom built 1997 Model 385 Peterbilt with a 2002 GMC 1-ton Dually Pickup Box. 10.3 Litre (629 cubic inch) C10 Caterpillar Turbo charged diesel engine that underwent an in frame overhaul approximately 2000 hours ago according to the previous owner. Transmission is a 9 speed Eaton and because the truck has been considerably lightened, you really never need to use all 9 gears - leave it in high range and use the top 5 gears - easy to drive. I purchased the truck in Rhode Island and drove it to Iowa with no problems and with no previous experience with a 9 speed transmission. The truck retains all factory components so, even though it is custom, all parts are readily available from Peterbilt or Caterpillar. NO CDL license required as the vehicle is less than 25,000 lbs. The truck is equipped with self adjusting factory air ride suspension as well as air brakes. The body features high durability Dupont Black Imron paint and a bed liner covers the box. The interior features a drivers air ride seat, air conditioning, and an AM/FM /CD player. This vehicle gets attention wherever it is and would make an excellent advertisement vehicle for any company. No other vehicle I have ever owned has gotten as much attention as this truck and people are always stopping to take pictures or hanging their phones out the window to get a photo. The truck is road ready and is looking for a new owner to enjoy her as much as we have. Only at Barrett Jackson would you find this one of a kind truck!
