Lot #623 - The 1989 Turbo Trans Am was released for two purposes, to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Trans Am and then to serve as the official pace car for the 73rd Indianapolis 500. This one has been certified by Pontiac Historic Services to be # 233 of 1555 built. All TTAs come in white with tan interior. All were built from the top of the line GTA Trans Am's and the only options were T-Tops and leather. The Turbo Trans Am's were built using the Buick Grand National 3.8 Liter turbo engines. These were the first Indy Pace cars to run the track with no mechanical modification needed. This one is in original condition with no aftermarket modifications.
