Lot #695.1 - For vintage racing enthusiasts, this car has been completely restored and ready to continue racing. This is the actual 1969 Corvette race car that Allan Anderson drove to win two SCCA B Production Northeast Division titles, in 1972 and 1975. It placed 8th in the 1972 ARRC, American Road Race of Champions, which was the SCCA National Championship. Fully documented with original log books dating back to 1972. This car was one of the top B/P cars in the USA during 1972-1975 and has raced at all the major tracks at Watkins Glen, Bridgehampton, Nelson Ledges, Lime Rock and Pocono. Anderson also drove this car in endurance races in Trans Am and IMSA and the 6 Hours Endurance race at Watkins Glen. This car gained fame as the number 23, and later number 76, GE Yankee Racing Corvette. Fully restored with a 358/500hp engine. 4-bolt steel crank, polished and magnafluxed rods with ARP rod bolts, Cloyes Tru-roller timing chain and gears, roller cam with rev kit, .100-over chrome molly push rods, Crane 1.5 roller rockers, cast iron bowtie heads, 2.08 intake and 1.625 exhaust valves, TRW 12.5 to 1 forged .040 pistons, aluminum Victor Jr. bowtie intake manifold, M22 Rock Crusher transmission, adjustable Koni shocks, blow proof bell housing, upgraded power steering added in 1998, light weight flywheel, aluminum radiator, removable steering wheel, safety equipment, Accusump oil accumulator 3 quart, dry break fuel filler, four 15"x8.5" specially mounted Goodyear stock car tires, HI Unilite distributor and MSD spark box with rev control. Street legal and can be driven off track or on track. In addition to log books, includes thick scrapbook of photos and racing history.
