Lot #693 - Here is a really sharp 1941 Willys Americar Pro-Street. This all steel car is painted Hampshire Green Metallic with pink and purple flames. It also has a flamed firewall to help with the hot rod look. Powering this car is a 396cid engine bored .030 over to 402cid with an Edelbrock Performer manifold, Edelbrock 750CFM carburetor, K&N air cleaner, along with other chrome goodies. This motor puts the power to the street using a 2-speed Powerglide transmission and a 9" Ford rear end. This Willys also has a Howe aluminum radiator, Hurst Pro Street shifter, Mustang II front end, Corvette master cylinder, front disc and rear drum brakes, roll cage, Hot rod air conditioning, heat and defrost, remote Sony AM/FM/CD player with power antenna, power steering, cruise control, Billet flamed steering wheel, VDO gauges, Weld wheels, Electric headers, and a beautiful gray leather interior. The Willys Americar was new for 1941 and was produced until shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Production was then shifted to production of the Jeep for the war effort and Willys then disappeared as a car maker forever.
