Description
Lot #370.1 - This 1971 Plymouth HEMI "Barrett-Cuda" car was built by longtime Darrell Gwynn Foundation supporters Mike Langston and Dick Koch of Pure Power Motorsports and donated for auction at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas to commemorate Barrett-Jackson's 40th Anniversary. The car is a 1 of 1 special edition, Grand Touring type model with a new HEMI engine, widened rear quarters and painted in Barrett-Jackson's colors. The 1971 Plymouth Barracuda was donated by Scott Milestone and the 572 HEMI engine was donated by Tom and Cindy Wright, discounted by Mopar and built by Gary Stanton. The winning bidder will ride in comfort in a Year One supplied interior, sitting in Panoz Automotive Development power bucket seats, cooled by Vintage air conditioning, inside a custom Pure Power Motorsports '71 Cuda body wrap in AMD metal, prepped and painted Sherwin Williams paint job by Scott Taylor at Bizarre Customs sitting atop a Hedges Performance chassis, using C5 and C6 Corvette suspension components and Mustang Cobra brakes. Specially built Gary Stanton 572 Chrysler HEMI power plant, dynode at 650hp and 660ft/lbs, mated to a 6-speed G-Force manual transmission, applying power through the Viper DANA 44 IRS rear end and rolling on Toyo's Proxes R888 tires mounted on custom Foose wheels sporting 335/18 tires in the tubbed rear end and 235/18's in the front. Established in 2002 by Champion Drag Racer Darrell Gwynn and his wife Lisa, the foundation's mission is to provide awareness, prevention, support and ultimately a cure for paralysis. All proceeds from the auction of this Plymouth "Barrett-Cuda" custom will benefit the foundation's mission including its Wheelchair Donation Program, Education and Prevention Program and Patient Assistance Fund. **ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE DARRELL GWYNN FOUNDATION**
