Description
Lot #686 - Presenting an absolutely gorgeous 1971 HEMI 'Cuda re-creation. No expense was spared on this two year nut and bolt restoration. It was truly a labor of love. Everything is new and the underside is as clean as the top. This car has a true HEMI K-frame. The body is extremely straight and the gaps are excellent. It is finished in era correct Sassy Green with black billboards and shines beautifully. It's complimented with an amazing black interior. The all new interior offers such items as Rallye gauges from R-T Engineering, IDIDIT tilt steering column, OEM Rimblow steering wheel and Pistol-grip shifter. The trunk compartment is also detailed. The new 472cid custom built HEMI has many internal and external upgrades such as aluminum heads, Holley carburetor, Milodon oil pan, Mopar ignition system, March serpentine pulley system, Mopar replica battery, etc. It's coupled with a new Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission and custom built DANA 60 rear end with 3.54 gears. The drivetrain alone was over $30,000. It breathes through a Spin Tech Performance 3" X-pipe exhaust system and sounds sinister. The aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool and the Vintage Air conditioning keeps the driver cool. The firm feel, fast-ratio steering box makes for tight steering. It has fully adjustable tubular A-arms and 2" Mopar drop spindles. Wilwood 4-wheel brakes are at all four corners. The car is wrapped in 18" black Boss wheels. Great attention was paid to detail so that this car would offer the drivability and reliability of a newer automobile with the look and vigor of the classic American muscle car.
