Description
Lot #372.2 - Steel body, professionally built by Larry Shoaf of Rodcrafters in Welcome, NC. A four year project, this little Candy Apple Red Anglia is definitely quick and a delight to drive. Powered by a Chevrolet 383cid motor linked to a GM700R automatic transmission, it's the perfect car for the Saturday night cruise or show. A wonderful example that can be appreciated by fans and collectors alike, many will recognize it as part of the bygone "gasser" days of the 1960s. Imported to the USA in this 90" wheelbase version from 1948-1954. No effort was spared, the attention to detail was foremost, and only the finest products were chosen during the lengthy construction. A Fatman Fabrications frame 4-link with coilovers rear, IFS and rack & pinion front with coilovers. House of Kolor Candy Apple Red paint over gold mist, Vintage Air, Lokar, Auto Meter, Sanderson, Ron Francis, Flaming River, Weld Wheels and Hoosier pro street tires are to name but a few. The custom metal fabrication by Larry Shoaf is exceptional as the firewall, tubs, inner fender panels, rear bulkhead and widened rear fenders are his creations. Ray Hester of Lexington, NC stitched up the re-contoured bucket seats and door panels with a tasteful gray leather and completed the interior with a complementary gray wool carpet. The dash and instrument layout completes a timeless classic.
