Description
Lot #371 - This project started with a clean California rust-free body. The vehicle was media blasted to bare metal and fully disassembled down to unibody. The unibody (roof quarters and floor/sub frame) were primed and painted with Spices Hecker paint in HEMI Orange. The underside and wheel wells shine just like the rest of the car. The doors, hood and deck lid were then meticulously primed, painted inside and out. Block sanded to perfection and reinstalled on the super straight unibody. Once the body was fully assembled with all gaps aligned, the entire block was sanded and buffed to a mirror shine. A 1969 seasoned 440 big block was used as the main building block. Tri Tak Performance of Clifton, NJ was responsible for the assembly. The motor was stroked to 500cid with a 4340 Eagle crank with Eagle H-beam rods and Diamond Pistons. The short block was topped off with a set of Edelbrock Preformer RPM aluminum heads, a solid camshaft with 528 lift, Weiand single plane intake, Holley 850 double pumper, BG fuel system, MSD pro billet distributor, custom 3" TTI exhaust, ATI performance 727 auto transmission, new balanced drive shaft and narrowed DANA 60 rear with 3.73 gears. All new suspension components were used, new power front disc brakes, Flaming River steering components and custom rims by Vintiques wheels. All chrome is new or rechromed. New Legendary interior installed, new Autometer dash and new wiring harness installed. No expense was spared on this one-of-a-kind car in restoration.
