Lot #654 - Custom 1965 Ford F-100 stepside short bed pickup. Although the sheet metal is original, a lot had to be fabricated such as the frame, front grille, bumpers, wheel wells, tailgate, bed, door handles, mirrors, one-piece windows, interior, engine compartment and undercarriage. PPG Flash Yellow paint with a finishing touch of silver pearl flames laid by famous Basil Platt of Concord, CA. Remote control power windows and locks and a beautiful custom leather interior. Interior upgrades include Vintage Air, power seats, console with cup holders, Autometer gauges, IDIDIT steering column, Budnik steering wheel, Lokar shifter, e-brake and pedals, rear view mirror with turn signals, flashers and shift indicator built in, security system, custom sound system with 6 disc changer, subs, mids, tweets and amplifier. The engine compartment shows off a Ford EFI 460cid that was completely rebuilt with the best components. This one-of-a-kind Be Cool radiator keeps things cool. The engine is coupled with a new C6 automatic transmission, 4" Driveline aluminum driveshaft and Ford 9" rear end. The Jim Meyer Racing suspension system consists of an IFS crossmember with QA1 coil overs and a Mustang II rack & pinion rack in the front and a 4-link arrangement with QA! coil overs in the rear. Wilwood disc brakes with 13" rotors are in front and 14" rotors in the rear. A polished 20 gallon fuel tank was re-located for safety. Wrapped with Budnik wheels.
