Lot #343 - A beautiful example of a rare 1989 Trans Am 20th Anniversary Edition Indianapolis 500 pace car. One of only 1,555 produced in 1989. This car has only 16,988 original miles. The exterior, interior, engine compartment and undercarriage are spectacular and show quality. The 20th Anniversary Edition was offered as a complete package. Each car was white with saddle interior with T-tops and leather being the only options. Has the unique 3.8 V6 Turbo charged power plant. The engine is coupled with a 200-4R 4-speed automatic with lock-up converter. Has a complete 1Le racing brake package. The braking system was power 4-wheel disc with dual piston aluminum calipers and vented 12" front and 11.7" rear rotors. The MacPherson struts and rear live axle with Borg Warner "Australian" limited-slip kept the tires on the ground.
