Description
Lot #1619 - "Wells Fargo & Co. Express" original signage appears to be under the current paint. Restored to good-plus condition. Running gear appears to match Studebaker 1900 catalog. The design was apparently used for small product delivery by Wells Fargo & Co. Express in 1880's Northern Montana. A fine piece of old west history. Rear brakes and hydraulic master cylinder added for parade use. The axles and chassis are heavy duty and front wheels are designed with high frame clearance to allow them to turn sharply without binding on the upper frame. The hitch is a double tree type for a 2 horse hook-up. This is a rare example of early parcel delivery.
