We’re excited to welcome you to Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas Auction for the first time! With so much to see and do, you won’t want to miss a thing. Enhance your auction experience with these tips and navigate the event like a pro.

The Las Vegas Auction is a three-day event held June 22-24 at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The auction feature hundreds of collector vehicles on display within the air-conditioned convention center, along with over 300 automobilia items, all selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder. The event offers Hot Laps and Thrill Rides from top automakers on the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track, indoor shopping as part of the vast Exhibitor Marketplace, fascinating sponsor displays and a festival of food and beverages.

To optimize your event experience, check out the Barrett-Jackson website or download the Barrett-Jackson Live app ahead of the event to see the schedule of events, vehicles and automobilia offered for sale, ticket information and more.

The West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center is a cool place to spend the day – literally. Upon entering the West Hall, you are greeted by a Barrett-Jackson merchandise display and the Box Office. To the left you will find the Auction Offices, where you may register to bid or settle up with a cashier after placing the winning bid on your dream vehicle. To the right is the auction entrance. As you pass through the doors into the main hall, you will find spectacular sponsor displays showcasing new vehicles and the Exhibitor Marketplace, where you can shop to your heart’s delight for anything from aftermarket accessories and official merchandise to one-of-a-kind sculptures, die-cast cars, jewelry, unique home décor and more.

DSC_2068The main attraction, of course, is the spectacular array of collector vehicles, which you’ll begin to see just beyond the exhibitor displays. To make the most of your visit, plan to spend some time browsing the Lots. A “Lot” is the object, or vehicle in this case, that is offered for sale at the auction as a single unit. You can even give your favorite Lots a “heart” in the Barrett-Jackson Live app and store them in your “garage” so you can easily see when they will be sold and what their sale price was.

As you reach the far side of the West Hall, you’ll notice the auction arena itself, where all the exciting bidding action takes place (just follow the distinctive chant of the auctioneers if in doubt). To the left of the auction block you can get a close-up look at the vehicles in the staging lanes or stop for a bite to eat at one of the convention center’s many food and beverage offerings.

Another can’t-miss attraction is the Automobilia Auction, featuring nostalgic collectibles on the auction block each day prior to the sale of vehicles. Automobilia includes everything from authentic period-correct neon signs to kiddie rides, vintage gas pumps and other collectibles. Just browsing through the automobilia display will take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

If you have a need for speed, be sure to check out the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track, located just outside the main arena – let the sound of screeching tires guide your way! Here, you can go for a breathtaking Hot Lap or Thrill Ride with a professional driver in the latest vehicles from top manufacturers (and it’s all included with your admission).

Fast facts to get you moving at top speed while visiting the event:

FrontEntrance_5797All concessions and bars will be cashless. Major credit and debit cards are accepted forms of payment. Certain exhibitors and food/beverage locations may also offer mobile wallet systems as a payment option.

For streamlined entry into the event, skip the box office by purchasing your tickets online and go digital with the AXS Tickets app. Single-day tickets and 3-day tickets are available, with discounts offered for seniors, students, first responders and members of the military. Special pricing is offered on tickets purchased online in advance. Children 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult on Thursday and Friday of the event. Children 5 and under are free on Saturday.

General admission tickets provide access to the entire event site, with the exception of access to the auction block itself, seats reserved for bidders and private skyboxes. There is designated general admission seating in the auction arena on the sides and behind the bidder seating area that is available on a first-come, first-served basis (keep in mind that people come and go all day from the auction arena, and seats often open up).

If you are looking for an elevated atmosphere, there are two VIP Experiences available for the Las Vegas Auction. Each experience offers access to hosted bars, gourmet food, signature cocktails and incredible views of the auction action from private skyboxes, including the owner’s suite for those looking to really enhance their time at the event.

A clear bag policy is in effect. Guests will only be permitted to enter the auction site with clutch handbags that do not exceed 6.5×4.5 inches or clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12x6x12 inches (or 1-gallon clear plastic bags). Clear bags are for sale at the merchandise stand near the auction entrance if you forget to bring your own. Security officers will be checking all bags at the auction entrance, and guests will be screened for weapons and contraband.

Because there is so much to see and do, plan on spending more than one day at the event. You will want to wear comfortable walking shoes to make your time at the auction even more enjoyable. Thursday offers an energetic atmosphere and Friday ramps it up a bit, while Saturday is your opportunity to see the showcase vehicles cross the auction block, the highest chance to see a vehicle sell for an auction world-record price or catch a glimpse of a celebrity.

If you are traveling to the auction and staying at Barrett-Jackson’s partner hotel, the Las Vegas Marriott, you are conveniently located directly across the street from the convention center. If you choose to drive, there is ample parking available for $10 per day, per car. The closest parking lot to the auction is the Diamond Lot. You can use rideshare services or take the Vegas Loop (aka the Tesla Tunnel) at Las Vegas Convention Center to and from Resorts World to skip parking altogether.

Lead_superbird_4716Becoming a Bidder

The first step is obtaining a bidder badge (it’s different than what you see in the movies, where people raise a paddle). Once you’ve registered, your starting bid can be as low or as high as you’d like – as long as it is within your pre-determined bid limit.

Going through the registration process and getting your bidder badge just takes a few simple steps. You can start online at Barrett-Jackson.com, call the bidder department at 480-421-6694 or easily sign up on-site at the auction office.

You will need to provide evidence of financial credibility in the form of a Bank Letter of Guaranty, pre-approval with Woodside Credit (a nationwide collector car finance company) or a Wire Transfer Guaranty, each with a minimum limit of $30,000. Alternatively, you can provide a cashier’s check or bank wire transfer deposit of 10% of the limit you desire (the minimum deposit required is $9,000 for a bid limit of $90,000). Proof of vehicle insurance is also required.

Directions and Parking

The event is located at the Las Vegas Convention Center – West Hall, 300 Convention Center Dr. Las Vegas, Nevada 89109.

Directional signage will guide you to general parking at the convention center. Parking is $10 per day, per car. Both cash and card are accepted. There is also a designated area for rideshare pick-up and drop-off located near the main entrance.

exteriorWhere to Stay

A “Hotel” link is available on the Barrett-Jackson website and also the “Travel” tab on the Las Vegas 2023 page. This year’s host hotel is the Las Vegas Marriott, which is located across the street from the convention center.
